Our New Healthy Homes Campaign 08th August 2025

Our New Healthy Homes Campaign

In July, we launched our brand new Healthy Homes campaign. Every month our Hellens Res marketing team will focus on a topic that aims towards healthy homes and we will be running the campaign from 2025-2030. We hope that this campaign is informative but most importantly a fun way for residents to engage with our Hellens Res community. We would love for all to engage in our competitions and challenges…remember there are prizes to win!

This July our theme was Healthy Gardens. As the Summer really has been beautiful in the UK we were excited to see some blooming gardens! Our garden competition was a huge success and we couldn’t thank all the residents that participated, we were overwhelmed by how many entered. It is lovely to see how many people have beautifully kept gardens!

Our prize this month was a £100 B&Q gift voucher which was up for grabs. Our Hellens Res team got together and voted on all the gardens submitted. We were looking for the garden that best celebrated care for the environment and a healthy home.

We are excited to announce our winner was Pauline from Swanland, East Riding of Yorkshire!

Our team were thoroughly impressed by her garden (the photos of the winning garden are at the bottom of the post):

Kelly Brown, Allocations manager & Home Co-ordinator had a few words about why Pauline’s garden was the winner:

“This garden stood out for its vibrant mix of plants, flowers and clever use of materials. Its thoughtful design promotes physical and mental well-being, making it a true sanctuary for both people and wildlife.”

Lily Downs, Homes Coordinator shared what she loved most about Pauline’s garden:

“What I loved most about Paulines garden was how peaceful and inviting it looks with her vibrant, coloured flowers and her luscious lawn. I’m sure the birds and the bees would agree.”

We also shared information this month about easy ways to have a healthy home through plants. Here is some low-maintenance plants you could add to your home:

  • Snake plant
  • Spider plant
  • Peace Lily
  • Cast Iron plant
  • Chinese evergreen
  • Rubber plant
  • pothos

Our final thoughts for the Healthy Gardens is Audrey Hepburn’s wise words which I personally love:

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow”.

Keep your eyes peeled for our August competition soon launching on social media. If you aren’t already make sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok to find out the latest news on our Community, new homes for sale, rent, information on the different schemes and advice on your home.

Keep gardening!
