Coronavirus update – November 2020

This weekend, the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced he was implementing new national restrictions in England, including the closure of non-essential retail, to prevent the NHS from being overwhelmed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but confirmed that Government expects construction work to continue. In a tweet later in the evening, Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick commented that the housing market will remain open.

At Hellens Residential we are following the current Government Guidance and will continue with business as we have been throughout the pandemic, ensuring our Covid-19 Code of Conduct is adhered to by all parties. This means Viewings, Key Handovers, Home Visits and Routine Maintenance Services can continue as normal. We will continue to monitor the Government Guidance and will continue to keep customers update with our operations.

Annual Gas Checks are a legal requirement and will still be going ahead during this lockdown period; it is very important that you ensure someone over 18 is home for the appointment to go ahead as arranged.

Measures we have taken include but are not limited to:

-Handwashing facilities available for all present at viewings/visits/appointments
-Social distancing of 2 metres kept at all times where possible
-Risk assessments carried out prior to appointments
-Meeting just one customer at a time

Please be aware that before we visit your home we will ask if you or anyone in your household has symptoms or has tested positive for Coronavirus. If this is the case, we ask that you let us know immediately by calling 0191 594 6666.

Please make sure to take care and protect yourself and others by making sure you follow the government guidance on hygiene.
This includes washing your hands properly with soap and water, immediately throwing away used tissues and taking extra care when you cough or sneeze. You can find the latest update here:
